Psychology Graduate - SEMH School Support Role
Location: Wigan

Are you a Psychology Graduate eager to gain valuable experience in a supportive Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) school? The Role:
As a Psychology Graduate working in a SEMH school, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs, as well as Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
  • Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons that promote engagement and progress.
  • Support pupils with social skills, communication, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment by encouraging independence and resilience.
  • Contribute to behaviour management strategies and personalised learning plans.
  • Work closely with SEN specialists, therapists, and teaching staff to provide holistic support for pupils.

What We're Looking For:

  • A Psychology Graduate (or similar discipline) with a genuine passion for SEMH and child development.
  • Strong communication, patience, and empathy.
  • Ability to work proactively and adapt to different pupil needs.
  • Experience working with children (paid or voluntary) is desirable but not essential.
