Job Description

SEN Cover Supervisors - Make a Real Difference in SEN Education!
£130 - £160 per day | South Gloucestershire & Bristol | Immediate starts available.

At Tradewind Recruitment, we believe that education should be inclusive, inspiring and life-changing for every young person. Our team is made up of real people who care - many of us are ex-teachers or support staff ourselves - so we genuinely understand the rewards and challenges of working in SEND settings.

We're currently recruiting SEN Cover Supervisors to work across a group of well-established specialist schools across South Gloucestershire and Bristol. These schools support pupils aged 5-19 with a wide range of complex needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, sensory needs and social, emotional and mental health challenges.

This role is perfect for someone energetic, adaptable and passionate about helping every learner access education in a meaningful way.

The SEN Cover Supervisor Role

As an SEN Cover Supervisor, you'll step into the classroom when teaching staff are absent, working from pre-planned lessons and supported by an experienced team of TAs and support staff. Your focus will be on engagement, safety and emotional support rather than traditional teaching delivery.

You will:

  • Lead pre-prepared lessons across different subjects and age groups
  • Maintain structure, routine and positive behaviour in the classroom
  • Adapt activities for individual learning, sensory and communication needs
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff
  • Create a nurturing, calm space for learners with additional needs

If you're confident with behaviour management and committed to helping students feel safe, seen and supported, this SEN Cover Supervisor role could be perfect for you.
