We're working with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Salford seeking a talented History specialist to join their Humanities department from January 2026 on a full-time basis until April 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to inspire students through engaging and thought-provoking History lessons, while contributing to a supportive and collaborative department.
The Role
- Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable but not essential).
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of the subject.
- Assess and track pupil progress to support achievement and confidence.
- Create an inclusive classroom environment with high expectations for all learners.
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS (or equivalent overseas teaching qualification).
- Has experience teaching History in a UK secondary school.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for bringing the past to life.
- Excellent classroom management, organisation, and communication skills.
- Collaborative and committed to maintaining high teaching standards.
