Start Date: After October Half-Term 2025
Contract: Until April 2026
Location: Salford, Greater Manchester
Salary: MPS/UPS (Dependent on Experience)

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Salford on a long-term basis from after October half-term until April 2026. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality Physical Education lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students to develop a lifelong passion for health, fitness, and sport.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who can motivate learners of all abilities, contribute to extra-curricular sport, and uphold the school's high standards for student engagement and achievement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
  • Assess and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support improvement.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including after-school clubs, fixtures, and sporting events.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the PE department and across the school.
  • Maintain excellent standards of classroom management, organisation, and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching PE at KS3 and KS4 (NQTs/ECTs welcome to apply).
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for sport, fitness, and student wellbeing.
