SEN Teaching Assistant - Supply
Location: Havering
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Supply (part-time and full-time options available)
Daily Rate: £90 - £100 (depending on experience)
Year Groups: Nursery to Year 6

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to work on a supply basis across primary schools in Havering. The role involves providing 1:1 support for pupils with various SEN needs. Both daily and long-term placements are available.

We're looking for candidates with:

• Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs
• Confidence in 1:1 or small group support (phonics or SATs support is a plus)
• Strong relationship-building skills with pupils, staff, and families
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive mindset
• Good understanding of child development, IEPs, and EHCPs
• Effective behaviour management

Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Full CV with work history since leaving education
• Two recent professional references
• Overseas police check (if applicable)
