School Caretaker Wanted - Full-Time | Sheffield | August Start

Are you a reliable and proactive individual with experience in site maintenance or as a School Caretaker? Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming school in Sheffield to recruit a dedicated School Caretaker to start in August.

Position Details:

  • Role: School Caretaker (Key Holder Responsibilities)

  • Start Date: August 2025

  • Location: Sheffield

  • Hours:

    • School Holidays: 8:00am - 3:00pm

    • Term Time (from September): 7:30am - 2:30pm

  • Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Opening and securing the school site daily

  • Carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and site upkeep

  • Ensuring a safe, clean, and secure environment for pupils and staff

  • Liaising with contractors and reporting any health & safety issues

  • Supporting with deliveries and site access when needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a caretaking or site management role (school experience preferred)

  • Trustworthy, punctual, and capable of working independently

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check

  • Ability to start from August and commit to full-time hours
