School Caretakers - Secondary Schools - Ealing
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a reliable and experienced School Caretakers to support busy secondary schools in Ealing. This full-time, long-term position is set to start in September 2025 and offers a consistent Monday to Friday schedule, 8.00am to 4.00pm. Flexibility is important, as the role may require early starts or late finishes to open or close the school premises.
As School Caretakers, you will be responsible for ensuring the schools site is safe, secure, and well-maintained. Your duties will include general maintenance and repairs, site security, health and safety checks, liaising with contractors, and maintaining cleanliness across the premises. A strong background in facilities or premises management within a school setting is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the school as required
- Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance
- Ensure all areas of the school are clean, tidy, and safe
- Monitor site security and respond to any incidents
- Support with deliveries and set up for school events
- Liaise with external contractors and the school management team
Requirements:
- Previous caretaking or premises experience, ideally in a school
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
