Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality English lessons across all key stages, encouraging students to develop a love for literature, language, and creative expression.
  • Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that fosters critical thinking, analysis, and a passion for reading and writing.
  • Develop and implement a dynamic curriculum that supports both the academic and personal growth of students.
  • Provide guidance and support to students, helping them achieve their full potential in both GCSE and A-Level English.
  • Encourage students to engage with a wide range of literary texts and to explore key themes in literature and language.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure consistent and effective teaching practices across the department.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, such as book clubs or creative writing projects, to further enrich the students' learning experience.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
