Tradewind is working with an Ofsted-rated "Outstanding" primary school in Croydon, seeking flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants for daily supply work. We have a variety of opportunities available, including general classroom support and 1:1 support for SEN pupils in KS1 and KS2.
This popular two-form entry primary school is committed to providing an inclusive and nurturing environment for children of mixed abilities, including those with communication and interaction difficulties and cognitive disorders.
The Role:
We are looking for adaptable and proactive Teaching Assistants who can step into different roles as needed. Responsibilities may include:
✔ Providing general classroom support to assist teachers and pupils
✔ Working 1:1 with pupils, including those with autism and SEN needs
✔ Delivering small group interventions to support learning and development
✔ Encouraging a positive and inclusive learning environment
✔ Following EHCP targets and monitoring pupil progress
Requirements:
✔ Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or working with children
✔ Understanding of SEN support strategies, particularly for ASD pupils
✔ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable)
✔ Full employment history for the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
✔ Legal right to work in the UK
