Exceptional Opportunity: SANZA Teaching Agency are currently working with a delightful, 2-form entry primary school in Ealing who are seeking a year 5 teaching assistant.
The school is located in Acton, with great transport links (District Line and Overground).
THE ROLE:
As a year 5 teaching assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the classroom teacher in creating an engaging and inclusive learning experience. Your responsibilities will include:
- Provide general classroom support to the class teacher
- Provide individualised support in class, helping students access learning materials and fully engage in activities
- Work with students in small groups and 1:1
- Support any students in the class that have additional needs
- Encourage and facilitate participation in classroom activities, promote social interaction, and support learning and development
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt lesson materials and ensure they are accessible for the student
- Behaviour management- be able to employ strategies to address challenging behaviours, fostering emotional regulation and positive responses.
THE IDEAL YEAR 5 TEACHING ASSISTANT
- Will have experience as a year 5 teaching assistant ideally, but experience in another group is fine
- Will have an undergraduate degree
- Will have a genuine passion for supporting teaching and learning
- Be patient and understanding
- Be flexible
- Have great communication, interpersonal skills and ability to build great relationships
