SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEND School - SEMH, ASD, MLD - Full-time - Temp to Perm

Are you a creative person who enjoys finding engaging ways to deliver the curriculum? Do you have a passion for working with children with additional needs?

Tradewind are currently partnered with a brilliant SEN provision in Dunstable, Luton who are looking to recruit a number of SEND Teaching Assistants to work with students across the school. These are full-time positions and you will be required to work from 8:45-3:15 Monday to Friday. These roles are temporary to permanent for the strongest candidates.

Our partner school caters for children with a plethora of additional needs including ASD, Mild learning delays, cognition and fine motor skills. The school is extremely creative in the way in which they deliver the curriculum and put a real focus on ensuring every child receives an individualised support plan. You will be joining a large staff team who work collaboratively to ensure the best progress is made. They are looking for like-minded individuals who can join them and make an instant impact.

There will be plenty of on the job training delivered by the class teachers, SENDCO and the headteacher. You will have the full support of your team who genuinely want to see you progress and succeed in your role.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with children with SEND needs
• Manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour using a range of techniques
• Build strong relationships with parents
• Find creative ways to ensure learners are engaged
