We are currently seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Doncaster. This rewarding role involves working on a 1:1 basis with a student who has complex behavioural needs, helping them to access the curriculum, develop essential skills, and build confidence in a nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to a student with complex behavioural needs.
Implement strategies to manage behaviour effectively and encourage positive outcomes.
Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor and record the student's progress, reporting to relevant staff members.
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with behavioural challenges.
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (desirable).
