Part-Time Intervention Teacher (KS1 & KS2 - Focus on Year 5 & 6)

A high-achieving and welcoming primary school in Westminster is looking for a specialist teacher to lead small-group interventions across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, with a particular focus on Year 5 and Year 6. This flexible, part-time role is ideal for an experienced teacher passionate about targeted support, helping students boost their confidence and attainment in core subjects.

Role Overview:

As an Intervention Teacher, you will work with small groups and individual pupils who require additional support in literacy and numeracy, helping to close gaps in learning and prepare students for key assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

✔️ Plan and deliver high-quality interventions in English and Maths, primarily for Year 5 and 6 students
✔️ Assess and track pupil progress, adapting sessions to meet individual learning needs
✔️ Work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to ensure targeted support is effective
✔️ Create a nurturing and engaging learning environment that builds confidence
✔️ Provide constructive feedback to students, teachers, and parents where necessary
✔️ Contribute to the school's overall academic success through impactful teaching

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience working across KS1 and KS2
✅ Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum, particularly in English and Maths
✅ Experience leading small-group interventions or targeted support
✅ Ability to engage and motivate students, helping them to overcome learning barriers
✅ Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff and parents
✅ A flexible, proactive approach and a passion for raising attainment
