Our client, a thriving secondary school in Newham, is seeking a dedicated and passionate DT Teacher with a specialism in Textiles & Food Technology to join their team on a full-time basis from February to May 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in a supportive and well-resourced environment. Interviews are being arranged immediately, so don't delay in applying!

The Role:

  • Teach Design Technology with a focus on Textiles & Food Technology across KS3 and KS4.
  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Support the school's commitment to high academic achievement and student progression.
  • Work collaboratively with the DT department to develop engaging schemes of work.
  • Maintain a safe and inspiring learning environment in line with Health and Safety guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Degree in Design Technology or a related field.
  • Experience teaching DT, specialising in Textiles & Food Technology, across KS3 and KS4.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for innovative teaching methods.
  • Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
