A secondary school in Enfield is seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team starting in Feb/March. This rewarding role is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to helping students with SEN achieve their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide in-class support to students with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities.
• Assist teachers in adapting lessons and materials to meet individual student needs.
• Support students in one-to-one and small group settings, fostering engagement with the curriculum.
• Encourage the development of positive behaviour and social skills.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement and monitor personalised education plans (IEPs).
• Track student progress and share feedback with teachers and parents.

• Previous experience working with children with SEN.
• A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach to supporting students.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
