Graduate Teaching Assistant - Secondary School, Greenwich

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: Dependent on Experience

We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school in Greenwich. This exciting opportunity is ideal for graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a school setting, with a focus on supporting students in their learning and development. The role will start immediately and is a long-term, full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with varying levels of academic ability.
  • Assist teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering lessons.
  • Support students' social and emotional development within the classroom environment.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to the learning process.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN) where necessary.

Requirements:

  • A degree in any subject (Essential).
  • Previous child-based experience is preferred, but not required.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping students succeed.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • DBS on the Update Service (Essential).
