Maths Teaching Assistant
Do you have a Maths background and are you seeking a new opportunity? An opportunity has become available in a secondary school, working with students who need additional support for Maths.
The school is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to help with boosting students in Maths in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be working with students as well as some 121 work and small group work away from class working with students in a mainstream setting.
The school is in Enfield, North London and is a short bus ride from the nearest station or they have on road parking within a 10 min walk if you drive.
The hours are 8.15am - 4.00pm(TBC) Monday to Friday and the pay on offer is £90-95 per day. This is a full-time role, term time only which starts in January until the end of the academic year (July 2025).
This role would be ideal for a Maths graduate who is looking to start a career in education or someone with an absolute love of Science who would love to inspire students. Applicants with Maths A'levels may be considered. Experience of working with students with special needs is very welcomed.
You should be calm, patient and have a positive, encouraging approach to your work.
The school is very well regarded locally and oversubscribed and they have a "good" ofsted. Direct feedback is that it is a great place to work, with a great team throughout the school.
The school is seeking someone with great enthusiasm and dedication, who has excellent communication skills and who will be able to engage well with students and staff alike.

Requirements:
- A graduate degree or equivalent qualification
- Strong work ethic and a genuine passion for supporting students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic educational environment

- Ideally be a graduate or have previous experience of working children or young people in a school
- Have a LOVE of Maths!
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
- CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
