SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity - Supporting Primary-aged Pupils (Folkestone)

Are you an organised and committed SEN Teaching Assistant ready for your next role? Tradewind Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a passionate and experienced individual to join our team in Folkestone!

This full-time position is available for an immediate start. Initially offered as a long-term temporary role, it has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

We work with a variety of SEN schools across Folkestone and the surrounding areas, so no matter where you're based locally, we encourage you to get in touch!


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting primary-aged pupils with Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH), and behavioural challenges
  • Providing personalised one-to-one and small group support
  • Assisting class teachers with the preparation and delivery of lessons and activities
  • Helping to create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment, including supporting with classroom organisation and resources
  • Supervising students during school trips and outings
  • Breaking down instructions, repeating key points, and offering tailored guidance to ensure pupils remain engaged in their learning

What You'll Need to Join Us:
