Psychology Graduate - Special Needs Support Assistant (Primary School Students)
Location: Folkestone
Full-time: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Daily Rate: £83.33

Position Overview
This role is ideal for Psychology graduates looking to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting, directly helping children with special educational needs on their educational journey. As a Special Needs Support Assistant, you will be instrumental in helping students build confidence, overcome challenges, and achieve academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support to primary-aged students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and social or emotional needs.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and targeted strategies tailored to each child's unique requirements.
- Support children one-on-one or in small groups, fostering a positive, inclusive environment.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other professionals to ensure effective, child-centered support.
- Aid in the development of essential communication, social, and emotional regulation skills for each student.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A recent graduate with a degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and making a meaningful difference in their lives.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a compassionate approach to diverse needs.
- A desire to gain practical experience in special educational needs (SEN) and child development.
- Ability to work effectively within a team of school staff and professionals to create a supportive, nurturing environment.

Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply (cost £46, reimbursed after 20 days of work).
