There are a number of SEN teacher roles available in Hull. You could be working with pupils who are physically disabled, have sensory disabilities, are emotionally vulnerable or have a learning difficulty such as Dyslexia, ASD or EBD
- Create daily lesson plans and materials to cater each child’s needs.
- Keep up to date with children’s progression and development.
- Be able to use the specialist learning equipment.
- Attend meetings with staff members and parents/guardians.
- Work well with other staff members, social workers, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists.
- Organise activities outside of the classroom.
To be on your way to becoming an SEN Teacher, you must have either a Bachelor of Education Degree or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education or School Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT), the Teach First Leadership Development Programme, the Graduate Teacher Programme or the Registered Teacher Programme.
