Job Title: Science Technician
Location: Merton, London

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only (36 hours per week)

We are seeking a proactive and reliable Science Technician to join the Science Department at a vibrant secondary school in Merton. You will play a vital role in supporting practical science teaching across KS3 to KS5, ensuring lessons run smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, set up, and clear away equipment and materials for science practicals
Maintain laboratories, equipment, and chemical stores in line with health and safety regulations
Support teachers during practical sessions when needed
Assist with inventory management, stock control, and ordering supplies
Ensure COSHH and risk assessment procedures are followed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working as a Science Technician (or in a similar lab-based role)
A science-related qualification (A-Level or above preferred)
Good knowledge of safe lab practices and COSHH regulations
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
A positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude
