Teaching Assistant - Northampton

We're working in partnership with several welcoming secondary schools across Northampton, all seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September 2025. Whether you're an experienced TA or just beginning your journey in education, this is your chance to support students in a meaningful and hands-on way.

This role is ideal if you're looking to make a real difference in the classroom, gain valuable school-based experience, or explore a future in teaching or child development.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Working alongside teachers to support learning across a range of subjects and year groups (KS3 and KS4)

  • Providing targeted support to students with additional needs, both 1:1 and in small groups

  • Helping deliver intervention sessions and adapt materials to suit individual learning styles

  • Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience, and independent thinking

  • Assisting with classroom organisation, engagement, and daily routines

  • Playing a key role in creating a calm, inclusive and encouraging school environment

We're Looking For Someone Who:

  • Genuinely enjoys working with young people and helping them succeed

  • Has great communication skills and a confident, caring manner

  • Can stay calm, flexible, and solution-focused in a busy classroom setting

  • Ideally has experience in education, youth work, coaching, or support roles (not essential)

  • Shows initiative and is eager to learn and grow within a school environment

  • Is reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to making a difference each day
