Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Trafford
Start Date: September | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity

Are you a patient, caring and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting young people in their learning journey? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Trafford to recruit a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their team from September.

This is a full-time, long-term position, ideally suited to someone who is committed to making a difference in the lives of students with additional learning needs.

The Role:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide in-class support to students with a range of learning needs, including those with EHCPs and SEN requirements

  • Work closely with the SENCO, teachers and other support staff to help implement tailored learning strategies

  • Offer 1:1 and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and general curriculum subjects

  • Help students build confidence, develop independence and access the full curriculum

  • Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational setting

  • Be passionate about inclusion and committed to supporting learners of all abilities

  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability

  • Be proactive and willing to contribute to the wider school community

A relevant qualification such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant certificate is desirable but not essential. Graduates considering a career in teaching are also encouraged to apply.
