We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant (Level 2) with British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3 to support a deaf pupil in Year 1 at a welcoming mainstream primary school in Salford.

💬 This is a 1:1 support role where you'll play a vital part in helping a young student access learning, communicate confidently, and thrive in the classroom.

🔹 What the role involves:
✔️ Supporting a Year 1 pupil with hearing impairment on a 1:1 basis
✔️ Using BSL to facilitate communication and classroom engagement
✔️ Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team
✔️ Encouraging social interaction and supporting emotional well-being
✔️ Helping adapt learning materials to suit the pupil's needs

🎓 Requirements:
✅ BSL Level 3 qualification (essential)
✅ Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent experience)
✅ Previous experience supporting children with hearing impairment is desirable
✅ Patient, empathetic, and confident in using BSL in a school setting
