Supply Pupil Health and Welfare Officer - Full Time
Location: Preston
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full Time, Monday to Friday (Ongoing)
School Rating: Ofsted 'Good'

Are you passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of young people in an educational setting?

A welcoming and well-respected secondary school in Preston, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated Supply Pupil Health and Welfare Officer to join their pastoral and safeguarding team. This full-time, ongoing role is set to begin in September 2025.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line medical support and first aid to students throughout the school day.

  • Monitor and support pupils with ongoing medical needs, including care plans and medication administration.

  • Offer emotional support and liaise with safeguarding leads regarding concerns or wellbeing issues.

  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with staff, parents, and external agencies as required.

  • Help promote a safe, inclusive, and caring school environment.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people in a care, school, or pastoral setting.

  • A calm, compassionate, and approachable manner.

  • First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures and pupil welfare.
