Are you a skilled and safety-conscious DT Technician with school-based experience? Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking reliable and proactive individuals to support secondary school Design & Technology departments across your local area.

We have flexible positions available - from short-term cover to long-term placements - perfect for those looking to share their practical expertise in a hands-on, educational setting.

As a DT Technician, you'll play a key role in preparing materials, maintaining equipment, supporting classroom activities, and ensuring health & safety standards are met. You'll work closely with teaching staff to deliver engaging, safe, and effective lessons in resistant materials, graphics, electronics, or textiles (depending on the school's focus).

We're looking for candidates who:

  • Have school-based experience as a DT Technician (essential)

  • Are confident using a range of tools and materials, and understand health & safety requirements

  • Can work independently and as part of a team to support lesson delivery

  • Hold relevant qualifications or training in Design & Technology, Engineering, or a related field
