What you will be doing

As a Graduate Teaching Assistants, you will play a key role in supporting both students and teachers in the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:

  • Working one-to-one or in small groups with students to help them stay focused and understand key lesson content
  • Supporting pupils with special educational needs, emotional needs, or those who speak English as an additional language
  • Helping maintain a positive classroom environment by encouraging participation and supporting behaviour management
  • Preparing learning materials, assisting with displays, and helping track student progress
  • Supporting teachers in delivering lessons efficiently and ensuring every student receives the help they need

This role is particularly suited to graduates considering careers in teaching, educational psychology, or youth services. It offers a chance to gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing meaningfully to student development.

What we are looking for as Graduate Teaching Assistants

We welcome applications from graduates in any subject area who have a genuine interest in education. You should be proactive, reliable, and comfortable working with young people.

To be eligible for the role, you will need:

  • A degree in any subject
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply
  • Professional references and, if applicable, an overseas police check
  • A full CV detailing your education and work experience over the last ten years
  • The legal right to work in the UK
