Teaching Assistant - KS2 (Years 5 & 6)
Location: Sheffield
Commitment: Minimum of 3 set days per week
Pay: £85 - £110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

Are you a confident, proactive Teaching Assistant with a talent for supporting children in upper Key Stage 2? Tradewind Recruitment are currently working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Sheffield who are looking for skilled support staff to work with pupils in Year 5 and Year 6.

We're particularly interested in individuals who have experience assisting pupils as they prepare for their end-of-year SATs, with strong skills in literacy and numeracy support. This is an ideal role for someone who can bring patience, structure, and enthusiasm into the classroom.

The Role:

  • Support pupils in Years 5 and 6 through whole-class assistance and focused group work

  • Deliver booster sessions in preparation for SATs

  • Foster confidence and independence in learners

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to monitor progress

  • Contribute to a calm, motivating classroom atmosphere

What We're Looking For:

  • Regular availability across at least three weekdays

  • Experience within KS2, ideally with Year 5 or Year 6 pupils

  • A working understanding of the demands of the SATs curriculum

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

  • Friendly, adaptable, and committed to making a difference
