Latin Teacher - Independent Co-ed Prep School, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate Latin Teacher to join a prestigious Independent Co-ed Prep School catering to students in Years 6 to 8 (KS2 and KS3). Located near Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, this full-time role offers the chance to inspire young linguists and contribute to an outstanding department.

• Start Date: 1st September 2025
• Assignment Length: Minimum of two terms
• Salary: Equivalent to MPS London Fringe
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4pm
• Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire (Commutable from Radlett, Bushey, and Watford)
• Facilities: Exceptional Humanities department in a traditional school setting within beautiful surroundings

About the Role:

As a Latin Teacher, you will:

• Deliver engaging and high-quality Latin lessons to students in Years 6 to 8, fostering a love for classical languages and culture.
• Support students in developing their understanding of Latin grammar, vocabulary, and translation skills.
• Incorporate elements of Roman history, mythology, and literature to provide a broader cultural context.
• Prepare students for Common Entrance and scholarship examinations where applicable.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the Humanities department to maintain the school's high academic standards.
