Our client, a high-achieving secondary school in Waltham Forest, is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team on a part-time basis (3 days per week) from May 2025 for a one-year maternity cover. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 Science in a supportive and well-established department.

About the Role:

  • Position: Science Teacher (Maternity Cover)
  • Duration: 1 year (Part-time - 3 days per week)
  • Start Date: May 2025
  • Salary: London MPS/UPS

Person Specification & Requirements:

  • Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and 4 in a UK secondary school
  • Be passionate about inspiring students and fostering a love for Science
  • Be committed to delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Have strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons effectively
