About the Role
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the curriculum, working closely with the class teacher to ensure the academic and personal growth of the students. You will provide both individual and small group support to pupils, helping them to reach their full potential and ensuring that their learning experience is both enjoyable and rewarding.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Provide targeted support to pupils with varying needs, including those with special educational needs.
  • Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce and extend learning.
  • Support the teacher in maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and encouraging their development.
  • Contribute to maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom.

What We Are Looking For:

  • HLTA qualification (or equivalent) and relevant experience working with children, ideally in Key Stage 2.
  • A strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • A patient, caring, and flexible approach to working with children.
  • A commitment to supporting children's individual learning needs.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
