Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Primary School Sports Coach to join our team working with a school in Nottingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and coaching a range of sports to primary school students, inspiring them to develop their skills and improve their overall fitness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging and age-appropriate sports programs for primary school students.
- Teach fundamental skills and techniques across a range of sports, including but not limited to football, basketball, netball, and athletics.
- Plan and deliver safe and inclusive activities that cater to the needs of all students.
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and parents to encourage participation and promote a love of sport.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievement.
- Support the school in organising and delivering inter-school sports events.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 Sports Coaching, Childcare or Sport Science qualification
- Experience coaching children aged 5-11 in a primary school setting
- Knowledge of child development and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet individual needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents
- Current first aid and safeguarding qualifications (Can be provided)
- Salary will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
