Key Stage 2 Teacher (Maternity Cover) - Canterbury


Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Until the end of the maternity leave period
Salary: MPS

The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Key Stage 2 (KS2) teacher to cover maternity leave, starting as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a rich and engaging curriculum to a KS2 class, ensuring each child reaches their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing regular feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and carers to support each child's development.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate pupils.

Requirements to Join Us:

  • An Enhanced child-only DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable), and professional references - if you do not have the DBS we can help you get one, and we will pay you back the £46 fee after you have worked for us for 10 days
