Are you a trained SENDCO looking to work on a part-time basis?
A fantastic opportunity has presented for an experienced SENDCo to work on a part-time basis in a wonderful school in Stockport. This is a part-time role (3 days) commencing ASAP for the right candidate until at least April 2025, potentially the end of the academic year. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with SENDCO experience to make a strong impact and support with the SEND provision at the school.
About the Role
As SENDCO, you will liaise with class teachers to learn about how you can successfully support children with additional needs on EHCP plans. You will be tasked with monitoring progress and inputting data, as well as ensuring paperwork is up to date. Where necessary, you will communicate with external agencies to arrange review meetings, discuss future plans and feedback on individual pupil progress.
The successful candidate will:
- Hold the National SENCo award, or have prior experience as SENDCO in the primary setting
- Be an integral part of the Senior Leadership team
- Have an excellent understanding of how to secure progress and improve outcomes for all pupils
- Have experience planning and delivering provision for a wide range of specific needs
- Be able to effectively implement an intervention programme to raise levels of attainment.
- Have experience of effectively supporting colleagues to develop their practice
- Have the knowledge and skills to liaise effectively with a range of agencies
- Enjoy working as part of a team
This important post will be filled by someone who has an inclusive philosophy, excellent leadership skills and is fully committed to the school community and its children.
To be successful in this role:
- You must hold QTS status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
- Provide a CV with at least 10 years employment/education history included and employment breaks must be explained
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
