Job Title: Social Sciences Teacher
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary with potential to go permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Key Stage: KS3 & KS4
About the Role
As a Social Sciences Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects including Sociology, Psychology, and Health & Social Care to students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
- Preparing students for exams and coursework submissions
- Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the wider school community
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you should have the following:
- A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Social Sciences at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4)
- A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in students' lives
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students in learning
- A proactive, positive approach to teaching and a commitment to raising student achievement
