This is a vacancy for a SEN Teacher, to start in January 2025 at a Special Needs high school in the north Manchester area.



This is a full time & long term role with the potential to turn permanent for the right person.

Hours - Monday to Friday 8:30am-4pm.
Pay - Excellent rate up to £220/day, DOE, for the first 12 weeks.

Equal pay to what the school would pay you on contract from 13th week onwards.

Start January 2025. Expected to last until Summer 2025 but could be extended or a contract offered at that point.

This SEN Teacher will be teaching a KS3 group of learners with Complex Needs and some students who are on a more structured timetable. The right person must have some prior experience teaching children with special needs and they will need to differentiate their lessons and activities to meet the differing needs, abilities and interests.


The school caters for young people at aged 11-16 with Autism, SLD and Complex Needs utilising a bespoke curriculum that is focused on preparing students for life after school and aiming to help them achieve their potential.

You would be teaching students who are working at much lower levels than expected for their age and as such your lessons and activities would be based on physical, social & emotional, sensory and communication development as well as academic attainment. It would be a mixed timetable covering some Complex Needs and some structured learning groups. This is a great opportunity in education and training is provided as part of your role.

The site has some excellent facilities including sensory rooms, soft play, hydrotherapy pool, forest school area, outdoor play and gardens as well as a cafe that's supported by students.

To join us and be successful in this SEN Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Have an enhanced DBS certificate (or be happy to apply for a new one)
  • Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable).
  • Min. of 2 professional references.
  • Provide a CV with a full history.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.
  • Have QTS or QTLS.
