Job Advertisement: Science Technician (Full-Time, January - Easter 2025)
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Are you a passionate and organised individual with a keen interest in science? An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Science Technician to join a friendly and high-performing school in Rotherham. This full-time position is available from January 2025 and will run until Easter 2025.

The Role:
As a Science Technician, you will:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons, ensuring practicals run smoothly.
- Support teachers during practical demonstrations and experiments.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring everything is clean, safe, and in excellent working order.
- Assist with the storage and organization of chemicals, specimens, and other materials, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support to both staff and students, fostering a safe and productive learning environment.
This is a fantastic role for anyone with a scientific background who wants to be part of a supportive school environment.
What We're Looking For:
- A background in science (qualification or experience in a laboratory environment preferred).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive and enthusiastic attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- An understanding of health and safety practices in a laboratory setting (training can be provided).
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
